About "Civilian Soldiers" & "Still Fighting"

Over the past few years we have witnessed many countries and people pushing for change around the world. There has been a level of discontentment brewing because of never-ending tax increases, and the overall rise in the cost of living. People are finding it difficult to make ends meet.  As a result, we have been seeing people unite by taking their voices to social media platforms that have now spread to the streets in protests that have sparked some major movements. However, things are a little different this time. These protesters are single mothers, seniors, oilfield workers, military veterans, construction workers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners standing in unity with common beliefs and values about being treated fairly. I like to call these people our "Civilian Soldiers."  This song is about hope, it's about love and most importantly, it's about freedom!

Prior to the new sequel song "Civilian Soldiers" Jayme Knyx’s social media Hit Song “Still Fighting” enjoyed over a million interactions in just one week with the uptake of his song by thousands who are following the “United We Roll” convoy for Canada that reached Parliament Hill after days of driving across the country. It is now clearly apparent that the song that followed a convoy across Canada is gaining momentum rolling from East to West.

This song has become the anthem for The Convoy and all that watched it on Social Media and listened on streaming services over the past months as well as the news. Many in the movement have adopted “Still Fighting” as the song for change in Canada. From building pipelines to getting our oil to tidewater, as well as carbon taxes and unsecured borders the Yellow Vest and the Convoy has a different meaning for each and every one of us.

The song “Still Fighting” means something different to everybody. Like any song, it means and rings different on a variety of issues right now in Canada. “I see the recent convoy and unity it created while travelling across this great country as truly historic”, says Jayme.

He says, “This is a message of hope to unite the human spirit peacefully for everyone far and wide. Why are we "Still Fighting" for truth and open transparency when these are the essential ingredients for humanity & integrity to rise?

Family has always been the cornerstone and driving force behind Jayme's music. His number one support system over the years has been his parents. Jayme Knyx fell in love with country music at an early age. But sparking the dream was country legend George Strait. When Knyx was only six years old his mother gave him his first guitar. His family has had a heavy influence on his music. From his Grandpa Bob, who was the lead vocalist for the Country Playboy's. To his mother, who sang for many years in the Kelowna as well.

Throughout the early years, Jayme loved to sing along side classmates in the school choir at Lakeview Heights Elementary school in West Kelowna. His music teacher Robin Jarman said, "Knyx always had an ear for music." Knyx also enjoyed playing in a brass band for few years. His instrument of choice was the "grand daddy" tuba. Knyx recalls not even being able to see because of its massive size. "Gosh, that thing was heavy." When he was 15 years old his mother dared him to enter a singing contest it became apparent Knyx loved to sing. After winning many singing contests, Knyx decided to pursue a musical career. For the past couple years Knyx has started to embark on his true passion which is songwriting and creating music.

Knyx never gives less than a hundred percent, and it's that kind of dedicated work ethic combined with blood, sweat, and tears that make it. “It’s not talent that makes it in this business," says Knyx. “It’s exercised perfection, with a hint of obsession.
